Job Responsibilities
- Strategic Leadership: Provide direction and strategy for the heat treatment division, ensuring alignment with overall company objectives.
- Operational Oversight: Monitor daily operations, ensuring that procedures, safety protocols, and quality standards are consistently upheld.
- Team Management & Development: Lead, coach, and develop a team of technicians, operators, and support staff, fostering a culture of continuous improvement.
- Budget Management: Develop and manage the division’s budget, optimizing resources and ensuring cost efficiency.
- Technical Expertise: Stay updated with the latest advancements in heat treatment technology, integrating best practices into division operations.
- Quality Control: Oversee the quality assurance process, ensuring that all heat-treated items meet or exceed required specifications and standards.
- Client Liaison: Engage with clients, suppliers, and stakeholders, ensuring that the division meets client specifications and delivery timelines.
- Compliance & Safety: Ensure that all heat treatment activities comply with industry regulations and safety standards, mitigating risks and ensuring employee safety.
- Continuous Improvement: Champion initiatives aimed at process optimization, efficiency gains, and waste reduction
Job Requirements
- 10 years’ experience as a heat treatment technician, or sufficient experience.
- 5 years' experience in successfully managing operations of at least 4 technicians.
- Experience in managing a budget and reporting KPIs.
- Expertise in Heat Treatment techniques.
- Skilled in using heat treatment equipment and instrumentation.
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical documentation.
- Excellent communication, mentoring, and training skills.
- Business development or sales experience is strongly preferred.
